Holiday Inn Winchester SE-Historic Gateway by IHG

Nice hotel. Something happened to our original room but front desk upgraded us to a suite which was really nice. Breakfast was okay, I wish it was a buffet style instead of ordering. They only had two waitresses and one cook so everything was backed up and long wait. Bathroom of the hotel was really nice as well. Very clean.

My wife and I booked a room at this hotel Saturday, January 24th for my son's birthday. We're local, but he loves staying in hotels and swimming in their pools. Prior to checking in, we called a couple times to make sure the pool was available and to request connecting rooms and everyone was great. When we checked in, we were greeted by Tina who was about as friendly as anyone could be. We met another Tina who told us to come down to the restaurant before we swim and she suprised my son with a chocolate muffin with a candle for his birthday and sang him happy birthday with other staff. Just wanted take this time to appreciate how amazing these ladies were and give them the credit they deserve. Rooms were great and pool was clean as well!

Excellent customer service. Close to shops and Golden Corral. Warm and welcoming staff. Welcoming area. With shopping attractions. Such as Big Lots, JoAnne Fabrics and more. Luray Caverns and more. Scenery is beautiful. Mountains and valley terrains. Horse farms/ stables.

Interesting mismatched expectations Sought out a hotel close to interstate for the evening on a long drive. At $164, it was not the cheapest. Room clean, but AC unit rattled loudly due to poor maintenance. Light in bathroom surrounding mirror were not funtional. Breakfast was served as a sitdown service with a voucher system. Two waitresses served all the tables for completely full dining room. It took couldn't seat, take custom orders, serve coffee, serve food, buss tables and maybe even help cook. Clearly, it was not enough staff for that many people. 15 minutes to order. Took another 25 minutes to get food. It was just under 1 hour total w. Food was good, freshly prepared but barely warm by the time it arrived. We wouldn't be disappointed if traveling and needing to kill time in mornings. Much prefer breakfast bar buffet if they understaff. Left good tip, because it definitely wasn't wait staff faults.

Wow a great Holiday Inn. Rooms were clean, service friendly and definitely recommend adding the breakfast!! Made to order Im told the chefs have been there since they opened 17 years ago and they are top notch!! Grateful the holiday inn up the road was sold out because this is one of the best Holiday Inns we've ever stayed at.

Got a good night's sleep room's where clean and nice and the made to order breakfast was excellent you do have to pay for it but was way better then the normal food ya get for free at other hotels and there was plenty of parking

Their breakfast is 5 star. This is a home cooked breakfast, not your usual Holiday Inn breakfast. This one tastes great, great service to go with it. Why can't all IHG hotels be like this? I think anyone would even pay a little more to have a nice breakfast that tastes good. About 90% of the time I never eat the hotels breakfast because of the quality. KEEP IT UP!

I stayed 2 nights for traveling. Their hospitality was great , all staff were very helpful and efficient. Breakfast crew was superb including the kitchen crew.Also room cleaning lady was great. I guess everybody is happy to work. Very comfortable, just like "Family".
